Rajasthan's education department has begun rolling out smart classrooms in a first batch of government schools, part of a broader push to bring digital learning tools into the state's public education system.

The initial phase focuses on district-headquarter schools, with officials saying the programme will expand gradually to other schools depending on available infrastructure and staff training.

Teachers involved in the pilot say the tools have made lessons more engaging, though several noted that patchy internet connectivity in rural areas remains a real constraint on how far the programme can realistically reach.
